There's a few cars that really benefit in the appearance department from a mesh grille. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is most definitely one of those vehicles because the stock front bumper grille design was a fairly outdated design when the car launched. Cutting out the center bar, and enlarging the overall visual footprint of the grille fits more in line with modern standards and makes the vehicle as a whole look newer and sportier.
