Easy install

Long story short, I had to replace my front bumper cover after hitting a coyote and the original grill was unusable. I searched everywhere trying to find a new grill and, after not finding any other options, I settled for the one this review is for. Don't get me wrong, I am glad I found this one. After testing the fit, I installed this grill on my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with the recommended double sided 3M foam tape exactly as shown in the video posted with the listing. The grill fit tight (almost too tight and even more so after the tape was placed) in the corners, but gapped terribly at the top and bottom. To compensate for the gaps, I had to use several layers of the 3M foam tape. It didn't really help; there are still several places where it gaps. While trying to get the grill to fit in the corners just right, the metal edges kept rolling out of the rubber trim and I would have to take the whole grill back out in order to tuck the edges back into the rubber trim. It was extremely annoying; even more so after accidentally cutting myself on the razor sharp metal edges of the grill. It took quite a bit of effort to get it set into the bumper cover to where it looked okay without too much of the tape showing; it was not as simple as the video made it look. I don't know how long it will stay there just being taped in, but it does look better than nothing. I REALLY wished it had some kind of brackets to where it could be screwed into place for a more secure attachment. At this point, with just the tape holding it on, I feel like I will have to stop and get out of my car to make sure my grill didn't fall out after hitting any bumps.
Do I recommend it? I guess so. Like I said before, I didn't really have any other choices and I really am glad I found this. I would happily recommend it IF it had fit better (no gaps) and didn't use tape to hold it in.
Does it look nice? Yes.
Do I think it will help protect my radiator if something potentially damaging bounces back at it (which is actually one of the purposes of a grill)? Absolutely not.
